CSI EZ Competition
Comparison Tool
1) Type in your main keyword, or keyword phrase (in quotes), and
also your city, if you have one main city (if two words, put that in
quotes), into
Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask respecitively. Record the
number of results.
Google and Bing can fool you - go to the last page
to see if the number there agrees with their original estimate of how
many results there are.
|
2) In each browser, find and record how many sites (not the paid
ads or indented results) are ahead of you.
|
3) Type your web site into each one respectively and record how
many results. Use the web site in quotes without the "http://www.",
ex:
"csiportals.com"
|
4) Count how many times your keyword is on your home page (or on
your competitors). Add an extra point each time it is in bold and
larger type.
|
5) How many times a month does your web site home page gets
updated (includes new pages, changes in text or images, metatags, etc.).
If you're evaluating a competitor, put 30 if they are in the top 10, 20
if in the top 20 & 10 if in the top 30.
|
6) How many pages on your web site are accessible by only two
clicks from the home page? Search example: (on google only)
"site:www.csiportals.com",
then go to the very end of the search and click on "repeat the search
with omitted results included) - record that here. |
|
|
|
* Repeat for each keyword or keyword phrase, and again for each
city you market in. |
